Heavy polished chrome plating on alloy steel shafting
provides great sliding functionality, impervious to scratching
and will not rust. This option is particularly advisable where
moisture in the environment would otherwise require regular
oil or grease application to protect the standard steel shaft.
Mahogany is not only beautiful, it is one of the most durable woods for outdoor
application. Mahogany is the wood of choice for fine yachts. 1" thick Mahogany
is finished with multiple coats of Polyurethane and backed with 1/4" felt.
The standard steel keeper pad is fully servicable. The steel is finished with powder coat for lasting protection and backed with felt.
