Gas spring in main column offsets weight of glider wing providing force assist to allow easy height adjustment. Secured by lock knob.

Model 6 incorporates two knobs on the main column. Top knob locks the inner column to the base. Lower sliding knob allows the gas spring position to be held independently which allows that the preferred height position is retained between usages.

New robust pivot design for Model 6 includes a Belville spring to provide continuous pivot tension and zero freeplay. New saddle stop design employs an eccentric cam for one-time adjustment.
